The offseason for Patrick Mahomes takes an unexpected turn, not just because of his injury, but because of his wife, Brittany Mahomes. As it turns out, both the Kansas City Chiefs QB and his wife have been undergoing their respective recoveries.

Meanwhile, Brittany has just opened up about dealing with a painful wrist condition for about a year, via a social media post shared on 5 May 2026.

“To find out I have this, been battling it for probably around a year now, thinking it would get better, well it never did and started to get pretty bad… so now I get to wear this cool thing,” Brittany posted on her social media account.

This condition is medically known as De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, referred to as “mother’s wrist.” It happens due to repeated lifting and hand movements, particularly among new mothers. Brittany addressed how such injuries are easily overlooked.

It affects the tendons along the thumb side of the wrist, which are triggered by repetitive strain. For new mothers, continuous lifting of a baby can lead to inflammation and pain.
