Travis Kelce's New Career Move Announced After $54M Chiefs Contract

Travis Kelce's $54 million contract extension has ignited a lot of confusion. But while the debates carry on, the offseason just made Kelce's “dream come true.”
"Travis Kelce is one of the magnetic figures in sport and culture today," fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger said. "I’m excited to see how he brings his fearless, fun-loving, and bold take on Prep Made Current to fans around the world."
The iconic clothing label officially announced Travis Kelce as its newest international brand ambassador. The Chiefs' tight end will serve as an active design collaborator on upcoming collections. He is expected to wear Hilfiger on his game-day tunnel walk for the upcoming season.
Kelce shared his experience, “I’ve long admired Tommy Hilfiger as an iconic American brand,” He Added. “Ever since high school, when I used to ask my mom to buy Sailing Gear jackets, I’ve been drawn towards the brand’s confident style.”
Kelce is known for his extravagant and fresh menswear concepts. From his extra-long tank top moment in 2016 to his bold, colorful overcoats, the star tight end has donned it all.
His most recent statement was a snakeskin camouflage denim pants and jacket set from Louis Vuitton at the NFL Honors. The outfit sparked a discussion on social media, with fans saying he resembled a "wallpaper."
Yet, Kelce's distinct approach modernizes classic American apparel with raw personal confidence and bold styling choices. Also, being 6 feet 5 inches translates easily from crowded stadiums to exclusive fashion shows.
However, this off-field move comes after Kelce signed a three-year, over $54 million contract with the Chiefs. According to Spotrac, the deal is functionally a one-year commitment worth $12 million, with a base salary of $3.55 million spread across three years due to cap structuring.
But it's the $40 million poison pill becoming fully guaranteed for 2028 that's pushing that figure beyond a simple one-year deal.
Kelce comes back for his 14th season with Kansas City, but reportedly, the team is already planning for a future without him.
Who is going to be Travis Kelce's replacement?
Kansas City management is actively evaluating long-term roster options as the upcoming draft rapidly approaches. The team is reportedly set to host North Carolina State University tight end Justin Joly for an official-30 visit.
The Chiefs struggled massively at the receiver position last season, with their offense ranking 21st in points scored. Adding a receiving threat would ease the heavy offensive burden after Kelce hangs up his cleats.
As per NFL draft analyst Tony Pauline of KansasCityChiefsCommunity, "Teams were on hand at NCSU pro day primarily for tight end Justin Joly, who did not test at the combine."
"Unfortunately, he suffered a strained hamstring a little more than a week ago and was unable to test for scouts at pro day. He did position drills and caught the ball well. The New Orleans Saints ran the drills. He told me he’s still deciding if he will run the 40 before the draft," Pauline added.
Joly gets the exact raw athletic traits the coaching staff highly covets. He has high-end potential during his collegiate games, receiving overall 1,978 yards and 15 touchdowns.
But do you think Joly will be able to have the same impact as Travis Kelce? Let us know in the comments!
