Travis Kelce had fans wondering what was behind his recent Cedar Point tease. Now, the Chiefs star has given an update on what he had been hinting at. 

Kelce’s much-anticipated Cedar Point announcement turned out to be a partnership with Six Flags for the launch of its 2027 Season Passes. The new passes are being offered at their lowest price of the season, with the limited-time deal running through Sept. 7. 

“Growing up, our family spent a lot of time at Cedar Point and Kings Island, and these parks have given us some unforgettable memories,” Kelce said in a statement. “From my favorites like Raptor and Millennium Force to The Beast and the famous blue ice cream, I want other families to experience all the same fun we did.” 

The passes include admission to both parks through the end of the season, along with events such as Cedar Point’s Halloween festivities and Winterfest at Kings Island, according to Craig Webb of the Akron Beacon Journal.

Kelce’s visit to Cedar Point came as part of his business investment with Six Flags. The Ohio native shared pictures of himself riding the park’s signature roller coasters before posting a cryptic message that something big was coming on 8.7. 

The message drew attention because 8.7 is the same as Kelce’s football jersey number. Some fans thought the tease could point to a new football-themed attraction, similar to the Steelers roller coaster at Kennywood Park outside Pittsburgh. 

The promotion comes as Six Flags makes several changes to its season-pass options. At Cedar Point, the Gold Pass covering admission to other Midwest Six Flags parks is available for $115, down from its regular price of $175. 

Kelce’s Cedar Point announcement may not have brought the new attraction some fans expected, but it gave him a chance to connect his Six Flags investment with the parks that were part of his childhood. 

But the announcement also gave Kelce a chance to highlight what fans can get from the new Gold Pass.

According to Anna Meyer of WKYC.com, Kelce also used the announcement to highlight what families can get from the 2027 Gold Pass. The pass is designed to give visitors access to the parks throughout the remainder of 2026 and the 2027 season, along with additional perks.

“More time at the parks now means more awesome memories later,” Kelce said. “More rides. More laughs. More reasons to get your crew together. That’s exactly what a 2027 Gold Pass delivers.” 

The 2027 Gold Pass is priced at $115, compared with its regular price of $175. It includes unlimited visits through the rest of 2026 and all of 2027, free general parking and admission to other regional Six Flags parks. 

The pass also includes access to fall haunt events and seasonal holiday celebrations, along with discounts on select food, merchandise and tickets. New members and renewing Season Passholders who purchase by Sept. 7 can also receive one bonus Bring-A-Friend Free ticket. 

The Gold Pass adds another reason for fans to make the most of Kelce’s Cedar Point announcement.
