Player ratings are always one of the biggest talking points whenever a new Madden game is released. Kansas City once again has several stars among the league's elite. Here is a look at the standout players who earned a 90 or higher overall rating in Madden NFL 27.

#6 Kenneth Walker III — Running Back (90 Overall)

Kenneth Walker was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round, 41st overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Michigan State. Walker then signed with the Chiefs in March 2026 on a three-year deal worth around $43 to $45 million. 

Walker III enters Madden NFL 27 with a 90 overall rating. Walker holds some brilliant attributes, featuring 93 speed, 81 strength, 92 agility, 90 change of direction, 88 awareness, and an 84 injury rating.

# 5. Trey Smith — Right Guard (91 Overall)

Trey Smith was drafted by Kansas City in the sixth round, 226th overall, of the 2021 NFL Draft from Tennessee.

Trey Smith has a 91 overall rating. Smith carries ratings that include 71 speed, 95 strength, 69 agility, 53 change of direction, 90 awareness, and a 92 injury rating.

Smith earned Pro Bowl recognition for his hard work and later signed a major contract extension.

#4. Travis Kelce — Tight End (91 Overall)

Travis Kelce was drafted in the third round, 63rd overall, in 2013 from Cincinnati. He has spent his entire NFL career playing for Kansas City. He holds three Super Bowl championships and has guaranteed future Hall of Fame status. 

Kelce receives a strong 91 overall rating. He boasts key ratings that include 84 speed, 99 awareness, 90 catching, 91 spectacular catch, 86 catch in traffic, 89 jumping, 97 injury, 92 stamina, and 94 toughness. 

Kelce still carries a 91 overall despite being one of the older stars in the league.

#3. Patrick Mahomes — Quarterback (93 Overall)

Kansas City traded up to draft Patrick Mahomes 10th overall in 2017 from Texas Tech. He signed his rookie contract shortly afterward. Mahomes has become a multiple-time MVP and a multiple-time Super Bowl champion. 

Mahomes earns a 93 overall rating. He features ratings that include 97 throw power, 94 short accuracy, 89 mid accuracy, 82 deep accuracy, 96 throw on the run, 96 play action, 88 throw under pressure, 98 awareness, 85 speed, 92 break sack, 93 BC vision, 99 toughness, 98 stamina, and a 96 injury rating.

#2. Chris Jones — Defensive Tackle (94 Overall)

Chris Jones was selected in the second round, 37th overall, in 2016 from Mississippi State. He has spent his entire NFL career wrecking offenses with Kansas City. 

Jones earns a 94 overall rating. Jones has key ratings that feature 96 strength, 97 awareness, 95 power moves, 90 finesse moves, 87 block shedding, 92 pursuit, 94 play recognition, 88 tackle, 86 hit power, 93 injury, and an 88 stamina rating.

He has collected multiple All-Pro honors and Super Bowl championships. Jones has also signed several big contract extensions over the years.

#1. Creed Humphrey — Center (95 Overall)

Creed Humphrey was drafted in the second round, 63rd overall, in 2021 from Oklahoma. He has multiple All-Pro selections and Super Bowl wins under his belt.

Creed Humphrey is the highest-rated Chiefs player in Madden NFL 27 with a 95 overall rating. He holds ratings that include 96 awareness, 90 strength, 94 run block, 93 pass block, 93 impact block, 93 lead block, 91 run block power, 96 run block finesse, 96 pass block power, 90 pass block finesse, 98 toughness, 94 injury, and a 94 stamina rating.
