Sick of the Kelces: Fans Up in Arms Over Jason Kelce's Masters Appearance

ESPN shared a video of former Eagles center Jason Kelce at the Masters Par-3 Contest, and fans didn’t hold back their frustration over his continued appearances.

The backlash didn’t stop with him either, as his brother, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, also found himself catching heat.

SportsCenter reposted that clip showing Jason Kelce in a crisp all-white caddie outfit, complete with a nameplate, as golf fans cheered him on while he delivered his on-ground report.

“Got the caddie outfit on. We’re going to be mingling around the Par-3 contest grounds here at Augusta National Golf Club. I’m out here with the patrons. Everybody’s fired up for today, guys,” Kelce said as fans erupted in cheers around him.

On April 8, Kelce turned heads at one of golf’s most anticipated events, the Masters Par-3 Contest, stepping in as a celebrity caddie for Akshay Bhatia alongside Kevin Hart and other stars.

He went on to explain his role at the event in the clip, and how he prepared for it, bringing his own chair, following the tradition of marking it with his name, and packing snacks to settle in comfortably.

Clearly soaking in the moment, he shared his excitement, especially since it was his first time hoping to witness a hole-in-one in person.

“I've been told Hole 7, in particular, is a good one to post up and watch. So we're going to set the chair down right here.” He further added as he placed his chair on the turf.

He seemed excited to interact with fellow spectators while also taking on some light caddie duties. However, watching Tommy Fleetwood’s son, Frankie Fleetwood, play his shots was what thrilled him the most.

Meanwhile, some fans appeared less interested in Jason Kelce’s appearance and his endeavours.

Fans React to Jason Kelce’s Masters Appearance

Within hours of SportsCenter sharing the video, fans quickly flooded social media to voice their opinions on Jason Kelce, with the conversation soon extending to his brother, Travis Kelce.

“I think we have all had enough of the Kelce brothers at this point,” one fan commented.

Another added further context around the brothers, while also highlighting Jason Kelce’s time with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he spent 13 seasons, starting all 193 games he played. During his tenure, he won a Super Bowl championship while earning 7 Pro Bowl selections and 6 First-Team All-Pro honors.

“Overexposure… I loved the guy as the Eagles' center.  Cheered loudly at the parade when he gave that awesome speech. That being said…enough with the Kelces already!  We need a break from the whole family.”

Another fan aimed at ESPN, criticizing the network for repeatedly posting about him.

“I'm sure he's a nice guy, but the over saturation of this guy in everything on ESPN is wild,” he commented.
