After Will Compton announced he hadn't received an invite to the wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, a 2025 Super Bowl Media Day clip surfaced of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes calling out former NFL linebacker and podcast host Will Compton.

When the Bussin’ With the Boys staff member asked a question of Mahomes during Media Day, Mahomes executed a no-look answer.

"That's just a question for him. I don't know if I can follow Will yet. He hates us just a little too much. I know it's fun, but maybe I'll get on the podcast. We can discuss it further then, and maybe I'll give him a follow back," Mahomes said at Super Bowl Media Day in 2025.

The clip was uploaded again on July 6, 2026, right after Compton went on Wake Up Barstool and expressed that he was "flabbergasted" that he was left off the guest list for the wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift on July 3.

Compton, who was an NFL linebacker for 9 seasons and started his career as an undrafted free agent in 2013, started the Bussin' With The Boys podcast in 2019 with his former teammate from the Tennessee Titans.

Mahomes has yet to show up on the podcast as he has implied he would, nor has he followed Compton on X. The wedding snub just opened the dynamic to a larger audience.

Compton is not the only one in the spotlight. The Chiefs' squad has come under criticism about the players they have heading into 2026.

LeSean McCoy warns Mahomes about Chiefs receivers ahead of 2026

LeSean McCoy, a former RB for the Kansas City Chiefs, recently voiced strong concerns about the Chiefs' wide receiver room during the Speakeasy podcast.

Most prominently, McCoy is worried about Rashee Rice.

"Patrick, you should be worried, just because, man, I don't know, man, it's like a trust thing, it's hard to trust Rashee Rice…..I definitely believe it. It seems like he keeps getting into something." McCoy said on the Speakeasy podcast.

McCoy aimed at Xavier Worthy, too.

"I told y'all from Jump Street that Worthy is not that good, he's a guy that times fast, but he don't play fast," he said, adding later.

McCoy works out with Rice, who missed voluntary workouts and made an absence during the mandatory mini-camp. He will be at training camp.

The 2025 season for Worthy ended with 42 receptions and 532 receiving yards. He will be recovering from labrum surgery this offseason.

Do you agree with LeSean McCoy's take? Let us know!
