Patrick Mahomes' latest injury update didn't come from the Chiefs' facility. It came from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding, where ESPN host Pat McAfee noticed something encouraging about the Kansas City quarterback.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the former All-Pro recalled seeing Mahomes in the middle of the dance floor during the July 3 celebration.
"Patrick Mahomes, I know he was injured last year, and I don't want to give away too much stuff breaking from the wedding," said McAfee. "Mahomes was in the middle of the dance floor."
While dancing isn't proof of football readiness, the observation on Pat McAfee's Show via X adds to recent signs that the Chiefs star remains on track in his recovery from last season's torn ACL and LCL ahead of training camp.

The quarterback has already been seen taking part in portions of the Chiefs' offseason program.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer also reported after minicamp that Mahomes had participated in installs, individual drills, and seven-on-seven sessions.
“His arm has looked good, given how rehab limited his throwing work over the past six months,” Beer wrote. “He’s trending towards being cleared for 11-on-11 work at the start of camp, but the plan is to be smart here.”
There is another reason Mahomes' recovery has remained in focus as training camp approaches.
Chiefs remain optimistic about Patrick Mahomes' recovery
According to Fox Sports, Mahomes' availability for Week 1 remains one of the biggest questions ahead of training camp.
Head coach Andy Reid has continued to express confidence in Mahomes' progress. Speaking after minicamp, Reid said the quarterback was improving steadily and expected him to do more once training camp begins.
"It looks like he's going to be able to do some things during camp,” Reid said. “He did it out here, so I would presume in 40 days he'll be even better than that."
Mahomes has shared a similar update himself. In a recent interview with GQ, he said his rehab has gone well and that he feels encouraged by his progress.
He also took part in the Chiefs' offseason program, another sign that his recovery remains on schedule.
Kansas City opens training camp later this month, where Mahomes' workload will be watched closely.
With positive updates from McAfee, Reid, Breer, and Mahomes himself, attention now shifts to training camp on July 29, where Kansas City will continue ramping up the quarterback's workload ahead of Week 1.
