The Kansas City Chiefs are back on the practice field for spring workouts. And there is one specific name that has been grabbing most attention. He is none other than star RB Kenneth Walker III.

The Chiefs signed Walker during free agency this year. They gave him a big three-year, $45 million contract. After the very first week of open practices, head coach Andy Reid has nothing but great things to say about him.

“He’s doing a good job," Reid said. "He’s got a ton of energy, and you can tell he loves to play the game [and] wants to learn what we’re doing here. He’s coming from a great program, he gets that it takes work to be good, and he’s willing to do that. Stronger than an ox. I mean, he’s put together now.”

Walker is 25 years old and, as per reports, is fresh off the best season of his football career. Last year, he started all 17 games for Seattle, rushing for 1,027 yards and scoring five touchdowns.

On top of that, he was named the MVP of Super Bowl LX. And Patrick Mahomes, too, has been impressed by Walker's performance both on and off the field.

“He’s a great dude,” Mahomes said of Walker. “That’s the first thing I noticed. You can tell he truly cares about football, (and) he cares about his teammates. If he’s not in the play, he’s helping the guys on the sideline, and he’s trying to learn and asking me questions and doing those things. He’s a great football player, even from what y’all saw (Thursday), it’s special.”

How special can Walker be for Kansas City? Only time can tell. But the team is confident of the players they have landed this season.

Kenneth Walker Wants To Be Utilized More In The Passing Game With Kansas City

Kenneth Walker III is a great runner, and he even won the Super Bowl MVP award last season. However, he wants to show that he can catch the football too.

"We've been working on getting connected in the passing game and everything, so that's good," Walker told host Kay Adams. "I feel like I'll be used more in the pass game."

Walker admitted during an episode of Up & Adams that Mahomes was a huge reason why he decided to sign with Kansas City, calling him the best quarterback in the league.

“I feel like it would have had a lot to do with it, you know, he’s the best quarterback in the league,” Walker said. “So, I feel like he’s got a lot of power in there. I’m glad he does because I’m here now.”

Now, football fans are excited to see exactly how much the Chiefs will use Walker as a receiver when the games begin.
