A new power couple is emerging in the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. Gracie Hunt, daughter of owner Clark Hunt, announced her engagement.

Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt's eldest daughter is officially off the market. Brand development and marketing leader Gracie Hunt announced her engagement to sports operations manager Derek Green on April 4th 2026, with a beautiful proposal.

"It was always you 💍❤️♾️ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28,” the Instagram caption to the engagement announcement post read.

Family members flew out to witness the milestone firsthand. It was alluring. The 27-year-old and 26-year-old opened up the news by sharing photos of a diamond ring and a dreamy look.

Green has his own contacts with the football world. He is the son of former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green (a former Chiefs player) and played quarterback at Southern Methodist University until 2021. He later transferred to Long Island University.

Derek enjoyed a shorter time in the European League of Football. He decided to step away from the field recently to transition into the corporate sector. He earned a finance degree to support that shift. He currently works at Creative Planning.

Their shared history at Arrowhead Stadium paints the perfect picture of a lifelong partnership.

Gracie Hunt Opens Up About Her Relationship with Derek Green

Weirdly enough, the couple first got together thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs. They first met as toddlers during annual team Christmas parties.

They were separated while growing up in different cities. Green grew up in Kansas City, and Hunt was born and raised in  Dallas, Texas. They finally reconnected on the sidelines before a game.

Gracie recently spoke about how they got back in contact again.

“We would actually play together as babies during the Chiefs' Christmas parties every year, and then we reconnected as adults in 2017 and met on the sidelines pregame," she revealed in August.

The connection between the two grew and then turned into love. Gracie openly expressed her love for the relationship last spring with a viral social media video in May 2025.

She set the romantic clip to a Taylor Swift song, "Invisible String," connecting it with how they met 7.5 years back in the same location

The two have been completely inseparable since that moment. They regularly attend games and travel together

The newly engaged couple understands the legacy of the Chiefs, looking forward to the bright future together for them as well as for the team.
