Former Chiefs tackle Mitchell wants to help the next generation. Schwartz revealed plans to consult for NFL teams during a recent social media session. Schwartz believes his specific adjustments can save careers that many coaches overlook.
Mitchell Schwartz revealed via Instagram Q&A story, "Would like to do some consulting/helping for teams when needed. What that looks like exactly, I’m not sure, but helping out specific guys in a way or two that I think would be beneficial."
Schwartz also said he believes many players could change the course of their careers with a few adjustments, but added that not every coach is able to recognize those issues or help fix them properly.
Before retirement, Schwartz played nine seasons in the league. He began his career with the Cleveland Browns in 2012 before joining the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wearing number 71, Schwartz was a dominant force at right tackle. Mitchell famously played for 7,895 consecutive snaps during his NFL career.
He was also on the roster during Mahomes first Super Bowl (LIV) with the Chiefs in the 2019 season, and as OT, he protected Mahomes with elite blocking.
However, a back injury in the 2020 season forced him to retire from the sport in July 2022.
Schwartz on Career Regrets and Staying in Touch With KCC Teammates
During the same Instagram Q&A session, a question surfaced of him having any career regrets. Schwartz admits that, "Free agency worked out well and changed my career/life for the better, but we definitely did that horribly, and I'd probably go back and try to implement a different strategy."
After 4 years in Cleveland, the contract situation got a bit weird in 2016, leading to a bit of a messy free-agency period for Schwartz. This unexpected chaos eventually led him to sign for the Chiefs on a $33 million deal.
He became an elite All-Pro tackle under Andy Reid and ultimately secured his biggest goal of winning a Super Bowl ring.
Following up on whether Schwartz is still in touch with former Chiefs teammates, he wrote, "Some, yes, of course... I guess if I see guys I haven't talked to or seen in a while, then maybe. The ones I stay in contact with, it's more just normal current life stuff."
