Every Single Draft Prospect That Kansas City Chiefs Have Met at the NFL Combine

Mar 1, 2026, 11:30 AM CUT

The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is where the Chiefs are preparing for their upcoming season. Following a 6-11 performance last year, now general manager Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid are holding the No. 9 overall pick, their highest draft spot over a decade.

The team has a list of masterful prospects that they have connected with so far, who can fit into the Chiefs' needs.

Rueben Bain Jr.

There is a massive need to strengthen the Chiefs' game on the defensive line, and Bain might be exactly what they are looking for. The Miami Defensive end brings a college record of 9.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. Bain, being 6'2 and 263 pounds, has the power to push back massive offensive tackles, while also being quick enough to chase down quarterbacks.

In his recent meeting with the Chiefs, he said, “I felt like I had a real strong interview,” showing his possibility of being with the team.

David Bailey

As a Defender, David Bailey offers both speed and strength. He runs with highspeed of 4.51-second 40-yard dash at 251 lbs., reaching a top speed of 22.91 mph. This explosiveness was the reason behind his 2025 season at Texas Tech, where he led with 14.5 sacks.

At the meeting with the Chiefs, Bailey said, "A great team, a great staff. I really enjoyed my meeting there". Given the team's need for a ‘push ’ in their pass rush, his production and record-breaking speed make him a worthy candidate for the No. 9 pick.

Jermod McCoy

The Chiefs have a good history of developing cornerbacks, and Jermod McCoy fits into that profile, with his strong ability to track the ball. He is a former wide receiver who plays aggressively, which showed in his 2024 season when he recorded 4 interceptions and 7 pass breakups.

Beyond this, he shares a different connection with the Chiefs. He and Mahomes attended Whitehouse High School in Texas, and Mahomes recently took to social media to support his fellow alum, calling it "wild" to see McCoy.

While ACL injury stopped him from being a part of the 2025 season, he has now declared himself "fully healed" in Indianapolis and ready to compete in the NFL.

Ultimately, time will reveal which of these prospects will eventually trade their college colours for the Red and Gold.
