The Seattle Seahawks celebrated their Super Bowl LX title on Thursday night with a ring ceremony honoring the franchise's second championship win. However, Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III was not in attendance.

Walker was the only member of Seattle's 2025 championship roster who did not attend. Walker's commitment to his new franchise may be why he skipped the Seahawks' celebration, according to an NBC Sports report.

The Kansas City Chiefs' mandatory minicamp concluded on the same day as the ring ceremony, that is, on Thursday. And as Walker had already made it clear: his priority is his new franchise.

The absence drew attention because Walker was not just another member of the Seahawks roster. The running back was named Super Bowl LX MVP after rushing for 135 yards in Seattle's victory. He also played a major role throughout the team's postseason run.

Walker's absence from the ceremony may have disappointed some Seahawks fans, especially as he had initially mentioned that he would attend the celebration with his former teammates.

The former second-round pick out of the Michigan State Spartans left Seattle after four seasons with the franchise.

Walker joined the Chiefs in free agency earlier this offseason after signing a three-year, $43 million deal. And he is expected to be a key piece of Kansas City's offense.

The Chiefs Are Now The First Priority For Kenneth Walker III

Kenneth Walker III mentioned during his post-draft interview that he already knew in 2025 that he would not be in Seattle after that season. After joining the Chiefs, the star running back is focusing his attention on his future, rather than his past.

With minicamp underway and a new offense to learn, attending Chiefs activities was more important than returning for the celebration.

The Chiefs have invested heavily in Walker after he rushed for more than 1,000 yards during the 2025 regular season. He also followed it with a dominant playoff performance. The team has not had a 1,000-yard rusher since 2017, making Walker one of their biggest offseason additions.

Now that the minicamps are over, it will be interesting to watch how Walker and the Chiefs kick off their season against the Denver Broncos on September 15.
