Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson Reveals X-Factor That Draws Him to Kansas City Chiefs

Mar 1, 2026, 6:00 PM CUT

Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson is drawing interest at the NFL Combine. What's more? He has praised the Kansas City Chiefs' 'old school' style in a recent interview.

On Friday, Tyson talked about how he appreciated the Chiefs' disciplined approach and making them his top choice as he looks toward his professional career.

"It was cool. I got to meet Eric Bieniemy. That was really, really cool," said the wide receiver. "But yeah, it was pretty cool. They're definitely a little old school, I'll say that. Which is not a bad thing. Great thing actually. But yeah, it was pretty cool,"

Tyson's interest in an 'old school style' comes from his career spent overcoming challenges at Arizona State. In 2024, he notched 75 receptions for 1,101 receiving yards and scored around 10 touchdowns, even with a broken collarbone that forced his early exit from the season.

Although Tyson isn't participating in field drills at the NFL combine 2026 due to his Hamstring injury, which limited his effectiveness in the 2025 season. He is still the topic of conversation. He is focusing on team interviews instead of on-field work.

Tyson confirmed that he already had a "great meeting" with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, the big question is whether the Chiefs or the Giants will match his interest or decide to look in a different direction.

From Chiefs Meetings to Giants Dreams: What's Tyson Vision for the Future

Beyond the Chiefs, Tyson is open to any team that can fulfill his dream of chasing a Super Bowl ring, and another team for that could be the New York Giants. During a walk-and-talk session recently at the draft combine 2026, he expressed his excitement for joining the New York Giants.

Tyson said, "That would be a dream team." While expressing his experience with the Giants, he said he loved having a meeting with the team.

Tyson feels a good connection with Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, who has already established himself as a rising star in the league. He believes his elite speed would be the perfect addition to Dart’s downfield passing game. It would also be a reunion with Tyson's former teammate Cam Skattebo and give him a chance to play with star receiver Malik Nabers.

What do you think will be Tyson's future? Is it going to be with the Chiefs or the Giants?
